Warm, trauma-informed counselling for adults navigating difficult relationships, challenging early experiences, and patterns that no longer serve them.
Life can feel especially overwhelming when your early experiences or close relationships have left you feeling unsafe, unseen or "not enough". You might appear to be coping on the outside, yet inside feel anxious, numb, angry, confused or deeply alone.
If this resonates, you don't have to face it by yourself. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and honestly about what's going on for you.
I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor, registered with the BACP. My approach is warm and relational, offering a confidential space where all parts of you are welcome – even the ones you might feel ashamed of, confused by or used to hiding.
My particular interest and experience is in working with people whose early experiences or relationships have shaped how they see themselves and relate to others. This might include traumatic childhood experiences, domestic abuse, or ongoing difficulties with boundaries and connection.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual, always at your pace. My way of working is trauma-informed, gentle and collaborative. You are the expert in your own life; my role is to walk alongside you, supporting you to notice patterns, explore choices and strategies, and ultimately achieve meaningful growth.
I work with adults and young people experiencing a range of challenges, with particular experience in trauma and relationship difficulties.
Traumatic and adverse childhood experiences, difficult early family experiences, and the lasting impact of distressing events. Working together to process memories, emotions, and triggers in a safe, supportive environment.
Support for those who have lived with domestic abuse or coercive control. A space to make sense of your experiences, rebuild trust, and reclaim your sense of self.
Ongoing challenges with partners, family, friends or colleagues. Understanding recurring patterns, improving communication, and developing healthier ways of relating.
People-pleasing, over-responsibility, difficulty saying no, or struggling to set boundaries. Working to understand where these patterns come from and how to change them.
Managing feelings of anxiety, low mood, overwhelm and stress. Developing coping strategies and understanding the root causes of these feelings.
Building a stronger sense of self-worth and identity. Working through feelings of shame, anger, grief, or confusion about who you are.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to fit you as an individual, rather than expecting you to fit a model. My practice is informed by person-centred therapy, humanistic approaches, and trauma-informed care.
I work at your pace. There is no pressure to share anything before you feel ready. You decide what feels important to bring, and we will move slowly enough for you to feel safe, grounded and in control.
